I think belly tightness is normal, but I’d let your dr know about the shortness of breath.  Call and see if they want you to go in and get looked at.

Could be Braxton Hicks! This is my 4th pregnancy and I've always gotten them about halfway through. Before I could feel my uterus tightening, I would get tightness in my chest and sort of short of breath. Then when my uterus was bigger, I could tell what was actually happening. Not saying that's what it is but definitely could be!

I’m 17 weeks too with baby #2! I get out of breath easily too already! Hahaha but I’m also not as active as I was with baby #1 annnd now I’m carrying around a 10 month old! Totally normal for both!

I’ve been feeling out of breath easily and randomly for a few weeks. 19 weeks today. Also, I’ve had a few Braxton Hicks here and there the last few days.

Both are normal. My doctor warned me that I would begin feeling these symptoms.
