So my best friend, of ten plus years, the women who introduced me to my husband, was diagnosed with Alopecia areata today. She's putting on a brave face, but I can tell she's having a hard time. I know I can't do anything except be there for her, and I will continue to do so.

What I want to ask is this: are there any ladies on here that can help me understand what she's going through?

The internet can tell me all about Alopecia, symptoms, treatments, ect. But it can't tell me about personal experience or things people wish were said to them when they got their diagnosis.

I just wanted to able to help my friend anyway I can, if she should need/want it.
