So let me start this little rant off with some backstory, so my mother has never been to one of my baby showers. I’ve had three kids and been encouraged BY HER to have a shower every time and she’s never not once showed. My sister is now pregnant. There has only been ONE thing I have asked any of my family to help me and my husband get because it is an unnecessary item it’s a convenience thing. The baby brezza. Now all I wanted was maybe for everyone who intended to get us a gift (it’s our third child we really haven’t expected much because we’ve got most everything) to pull together and either chip in to get it or help us out, and while I’ve mentioned it I’ve never flat out said that’s what I wanted because me and my husband really don’t care if we get it or not as nice as it would be. Well my mother who has been saying for THREE MONTHS she was going to get me a gift has now purchased this for my sister. That’s like $200. She complained about the price of everything we said we did infact still need (diapers are too expensive nowadays, why are you using those specific bottles and not this cheaper option) but she can spend $200 on one gift for my sister? Little more backstory she hasn’t bought me a baby gift for either of my other children either, so I was really hoping third time would be the charm. Guess I was wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️
