Weight gaining a week before you start your period

Okay ladies i know a week/week in a half before you start your period, you start to bloat which puts a little weight on ya so is there any tips on what to eat or do to help not gain that weight or not gain as much weight during that time. I should be starting my period in the middle of next week and I weighed myself this morning and I barely lost anything. Not even a pound. I last weighed myself Monday and then today and I’ve been keeping under my calories, eating a little better and walking a good amount because of my job and son lol but when I weighed myself this morning and seen no progress I felt like I wasn’t going anywhere. Like I lost hope and felt down. It sucks to see that you haven’t lost anything when you’ve done almost everything right.
