Why rush due date?

I see some of you have already had precious babies due to inductions for medical reasons but WHY are the healthy ones just dying to have their babies at 36-37 weeks. No. Just no. My boy keeps trying to come early I’m 35 weeks and I’m doing everything to keep him in full term. Just doesn’t make any sense to me.

I’m 37 weeks and I’m ready to have this baby I am in constant pain. I am NOT being induced but can definitely understand why some women want to be. I didn’t understand why people were like this when I was pregnant with my first but I definitely understand now. I know where you are coming from aswell. Obviously we all want healthy to term babies.

THANK YOU. I understand self inducing to avoid medical intervention, or c-section if you want a VBAC, or you are over-due! That makes total sense to me, like why be pregnant longer than you have to ? 
What I do not understand is why you wouldn’t want your baby to develop as much as possible, because they change basically every day and gain weight every day until they are born! 
I’m having labor symptoms and I’m nearing 36 weeks and I’m like “no no no no! Please stay in 😦”

Amen to this, now we are all excited to meet our little bundles of joy ... duh we have all been looking forward to delivery day for months😍
.But i get soo bitter and angry when I read these posts about mothers wanting their babies here already;
 while Ive been on bed rest and to many meds to count, in and out of hospital praying my little one makes it through another week before she comes . Feeeling like an absolute failure because of pre-e and knowing my body just isnt providing a good enviroment for her to grow in and that im litteraly putting her life in danger . Knowing very well that she might still spend weeks in NICU after delivery and could have long term set backs all because she came too early ... yet smoothing sailing susan over here is living the life purposely trying to induce her labour and doesnt stop for a second to think about her child's health
It reallly is sooo frustrating 🤕😢🙈

Yeah my baby was born at 31 weeks and I wish I could have kept her in longer! It’s the hardest thing in the world leaving her in the hospital where she still is now for almost 3 weeks now! Keep those babies cooking!

I don’t understand induction for mom-medical reasons, but I can understand wanting your baby to come just a tad early. I know my baby is already measuring well ahead in size and I’m pretty small, so I’m worried that if I carry to 40 weeks or possibly longer, birth will be incredibly difficult and painful. I realize birth is difficult and painful regardless - I’m not dumb - but if my baby girl comes at 38 or 39 weeks so I don’t have to push out a 9-10lb baby, I won’t complain.  I also know that I’m already pretty miserable physically (I’m 33 weeks currently) and it’ll just get worse as I get closer to my due date. As long as she’s considered full term and healthy, I’d love for her to come a week or two early.
