Mix gender reveal with baby girls 1st bday?

Baby girl turns one Jan 5th. I'll be exactly 19 weeks. I'll get an anatomy scan within that time frame so I'm wondering should I wait to throw her a party till we get the gender so she can tell it to us or should I just have 2 different parties?

I'm sorry, and I may be the only one to think this, but you should leave them separate. I think it is selfish to combine them. Especially on her birthday/birthday party. That day should be about her.

You could let her birthday cake be inside the color of baby so it’s a surprise for family when she starts smashing into it!

I’ll be the weird one saying keep them separate,it’s her big 1 and she shouldn’t be overshadowed by baby coming. Not that it wouldn’t be lovely but let her special day be hers.

I’m not a huge fan of reveal parties, so there’s my bias, but I think you should combine them, especially if you’re going to be inviting most of the same people anyway. Life is busy and two parties in a short time frame can be tough. 
If you do combine them, do the reveal at the end - let your daughter be in the spot light for most of the party and really focus on celebrating her first year! Then towards the end of the party you could do the reveal and send everyone home on an exciting note.
