Recently put on progesterone..

So. I am currently 14 days late for AF, all negative pregnancy tests. Went to my obgyn and he told me it was normal but put me on a 5 day pill supply of progesterone to see if I get any bleeding. Also wants me to get blood tests done. Has anyone else experienced this? My period is never late and typically lasts for 5 days. I haven’t been on birth control in almost a year and currently ttc.
