Big baby- what size clothes and diaps??

Question

So they keep telling my that my baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead and is a big baby. Does that mean i need to pack some bigger clothes than newborn or will he fit into those? Also, diapers, will i need to bring some size 1 or will he fit in newborn? Am i totally overthinking this?

Dont worry about diapers. The hospital will provide them there.

I would bring an outfit or two of newborn and one or two of 0-3mo just in case. 
My first was a lot bigger (9lbs 9.5oz) than expected and I was so glad that I brought 0-3 with me for him to wear home. Also I think your pretty safe bringing size 1 diapers. :)

You're lucky your doctors told you to expect a big baby! Mine didn't with my first, and he was 9.5lbs, 21 inches long. 0-3 month clothing fit him perfectly 👍 I would suggest bringing some newborn and some 0-3 month just incase

So far both babies were 22.5” long and one was 9-11 and the other 9-10. I never used newborn clothes, but newborn diapers I did use! They fit better under their cords. I was told with my first that they feel like an 8 pound baby, always measured on track.

My baby could be a 10 pounder so I'm bringing both newborn and 3 mo. clothes, as well as newborn and size 1 diapers just in case

My first was 8lbs 8.5oz and fit in newborn or 0-3, the hospital put him in size 1 diapers right away but when we got home we put him in newborn. I’m bringing two outfits for coming home this time and the hospital will give you some diapers anyway. Have some of each at home so you don’t have to go out but keep your receipts and you can exchange them later.

My kids (including this one) have all measured 2-3 weeks bigger. They were all between 7-8lbs at birth but they were 3 weeks early (Preeclampsia). I had 2 nephews born huge, one almost 11lbs and 1 that was 12lbs.... so I always pack 2 newborn size outfits (Incase they spit up on one) and 2 3 months size just Incase they are big. My hospital provides diapers but I bought newborn for when I got home but I wouldn’t open them Incase you have to swap them out.
