When do they start checking ?

Ladies when is it that they start checking for dilation? I can’t remember when they did it with my first but I do remember that I HATED it ! 34 weeks and getting nervous for those appointments !

36 usually. You can decline them. My OB doesn’t even recommend them since they don’t really tell you anything.

I only got ‘checked’ with my first at like 39 1/2 weeks bc I was getting a sweep.

I’m 36weeks and had to do the group b strep test so I asked since she was already down there if she wanted to check and I wasn’t dilated at all yet

Went in for my 35 week appointment today and she checked after doing the gbs test, but she asked if I wanted her to or not.
