Braxton hicks?

I’m 19+4, is it too early to get braxton hicks? I’ve been awake most of the night with a dull and uncomfortable pain coming and going.

No it’s not to early to have Braxton Hicks I get them almost every day sometimes multiple times and I’m 17 weeks I was told a good fix is to either lay down on your left side if you have been on your feet sometimes laying on your back can apparently cause them too but if the contractions are happening while you’re laying down then do the opposite and stand or walk around a little.

Where’s the pain? To my knowledge, that’s pretty early for bh. Does it feel like a tightness lower down where your uterus is? Or sort of like cramps?

This is also a peak time for round ligament pain. I’m usually more restless and uncomfortable on days I’m really active and aggravate my RLP. I take a Tylenol before bed and that usually helps.

That is normal . I’m on baby 5 and have been getting them since about 15 weeks ... if you are sitting when you get them stand up and move around that helps , if I notice I am getting them frequent I get up and go for a walk and that seems to help.... if you get more that 8 an hour maybe call your dr . But it really isn’t a concern unless they are consistent (timing) and getting stronger . My labor feels like BH contractions until it’s almost time to push BUT true BH have no consistencies. Also make sure you are staying plenty hydrated , even the slightest dehydrated can cause them to be more intense ... if you have been on your feet all day relax , if you have been sitting all day , move around. If you get to a point and you feel like they take your breath away then I would be concerned ... they are uncomfortable but shouldn’t be “painful”

I don’t think it’s too early. I know for a fact that’s what I experienced last week at 16 weeks. I didn’t have them  with my first pregnancy. But I definitely felt them once or twice this time. It was a tight cramp in my stomach, almost like a squeeze. It wasn’t painful but I did have to pause what I was doing for a second until it passed.

This is my second pregnancy. I’ve started getting them this time around by about 15-16 weeks. 
They should not be regular, nor painful at this point. 
They can be caused by dehydration and needing to pee (both ends of the spectrum). Trying staying better hydrated and urinating frequently. 
This is the point where many women start to dehydrate more easily (itchy and dry skin, more thirsty, can get lethargic, etc.). 
Again, if it’s so uncomfortable that you can’t sleep, this could be something else. I would reach out to your doctor.

I’ve noticed this too maybe 4 or so times total since about 14ish weeks... i’m 17w4d now with baby #3 so who knows! I fully remember what Braxton Hicks feels like & this is very similar!
