What to expect 2nd appointment

Question

I had my first appointment at 9ish weeks we went over history, bloodwork and a pap. Then I had an ultrasound about 2 weeks ago.
Today I have my 2nd appointment at a little over 13 weeks.
What should I expect today?
It’s been 7 years since I’ve had to do this so I really don’t remember.

My OB is so weird. I will be going in on the 19th for my 2nd trimester appointment and I have yet to have a pap or much of anything besides your average blood work. 
Normally the second trimester appointment is when they start measuring your uterus and you get to hear your little ones heartbeat. If they aren't able to pick it up by Doppler yet you will most likely have an ultrasound to make sure everything is okay. The first appointment is always the longest so this one and the ones after will be pretty quick.

Mine seemed pretty pointless. I saw the doctor for maybe 5 minutes, checked the heartbeat with a Doppler which I do at home anyway and scheduled me for 4 weeks out. That was it.

Unless you requested extra testing, it’s usually just a quick meeting with the doc to go over bloodwork and pap results and get a heartbeat on Doppler. THats all my appointment at 12+5 was. Other than the anatomy scan at 20 weeks that’s all most of the appointments are until you get to 36 weeks if everything is normal and there are no complications.

My pap is up to date so I don't need one this pregnancy. My doctor told me that it'll basically just be a quick appt for any questions, a doppler check, and that's it!! I have my appts already scheduled out to 24 weeks so I don't have to worry about anything like that.

Depends on your hospital! Mine was weird I just met with the doctor went over bloodwork and got a Doppler heartbeat on baby! Then a few days later I was scheduled for an ultrasound in a different department as a second part of the Down syndrome testing ( I think!)
