I woke up around 830 a.m to start getting ready for an 11:15 a.m doctors appointment. I attempted to get ready and had to poop bad. During my poop session , my stomach was in pain. I just knew these weren’t contractions but the effects of the Philly cheesesteak I made the night before. However , I decided to time the pain because it became pretty consistent.

9:08 a.m.

9:12 a.m.

9:18 a.m.

9:25 a.m.

9:33 a.m.

9:39 a.m.

9:47 a.m.

9:51 a.m.

9:54 a.m.

9:56 a.m.

9:59 a.m.

10:03 a.m.

Took shower

10:15 a.m.

10:17 a.m.

10:18 a.m.

10:20 a.m.

10:23 a.m.

I called my OBGYN office to inform them about the contractions before heading in and they advised me to come in and the doctor will advise what to do from there. By the time I arrived, I was letting out loud groans with each contraction. The doctor checked me and really didn’t say much other then asking if I had damage or surgery done to my cervix before? I haven’t ! He sent me to the hospital.

I arrived to labor and delivery around 12:30 p.m and those contractions weren’t to be played with. I immediately ask for any kind of pain meds. The receptionists stated that I needed to get checked by a nurse to see if I was actually in labor. The nurse checked me around 1:00 p.m. and informed me that I was 4 centimeters. She said my doctor stated that I was closed before I got there , so I’m assuming I progressed fast. I’m still asking for an epidural but they need labs. The anesthesiologist finally arrives around 230 p.m and 10 minutes later, all pain subsided. By 430 p.m., I was at 5 centimeters. I was checked again around 8 and was 9 centimeters. My doctor was on his way. I pushed through 4 contractions and the encouragement from the nurse and doctor was phenomenal. They said it was all me and I pushed well.

I was super nervous while pushing and they told me to open my eyes to look at her . Me: 👀she’s out ? 🙌🏽
