Making kids "visit" Santa

****1st off of course everyone can do as they please with their child, so not really saying or trying to dictate what a parent does. ****

So Christmas time, pictures with Santa. So babies are one thing they are usually in that "stranger danger faze" so some just freak out no matter who their around or who is holding them.

But what do you think about children being forced to take pictures with Santa/sit on his lap?

I took my daughter the other day and I'm so happy she didn't freak out, this is her 3rd Christmas (she's 2), the past two years she had her older sister do it with her so she didn't freak out but at the same time didn't necessarily love it haha. Her sister is older and I'm not trying to force her to take a picture with Santa since she doesn't believe anyways and doesn't like taking pictures, but my 2 yr old did fine, sat in his lap and smiled when asked.

The child that went before us was maybe 4 or 5, and completely freaking out, I mean legit scared shitless, struggling to hold on to mommy, they didn't even get a picture where he was actually smiling just bawling crying and trying to get away from the Santa, yet the mom was just shoving him back. It was a little sad 😞.

But any who, would you force your child to do it just for that yearly picture?

I've never been a people person I remember as a child though I didn't freak out, i still dreading going to see Santa and sit in his lap or by him and having to talk to him. But of course my mom wanted the picture hahaha

(Sorry if I was rambling 🤣)
