First IUI

Sara

My husband and I have been TTC for a little over two years now. Right before our first IUI the nurse had told me that my husband needed a booster but they were going to wait to see if I concieve to have him get it. Funnily enough, about a week before this, he had been to his family doctor for something unrelated, and she had mentioned there were shots he'd needed. He went to the clinic to get the shots done, neither of us thinking this would affect anything. The doctor had told him he'd needed a Hep B shot. I had just assumed he had gotten it done, FORTUNATELY, the clinic was sold out of Hep B shots! The nurse at our fertility clinic had later informed me that if he had gotten the shot, we would have had to wait SIX MONTHS to try anything. His family doctor knew we were in the middle of fertility treatments and obviously had no idea that a Hep B and MMR shot would delay this process. We finally had our first IUI on Friday Dec 7th, and a second on the 8th. I started having light cramping two days ago. I usually start cramping early when I'm getting my period and this feels like the case. We find out the results on Christmas Eve 🤞😕.
