Who's made a birth plan?? Pkease share...

Question

I'm currently sat at our table with a stick of glue and cut out images making our visual birth plan for the hospital! 
Who else has made a birth plan?
 Did you make it with images or write it out? 
How long was it?
My issue is getting my plan to fit on a piece of A4 paper... thinking of shrinking down the images to make it easier ....
Would love to hear what other people are doing...

I personally dont write a birth plan. The only thing i care about is skin to skin right after birth as long as possible and delay bath but those things my hospital already do

4th baby so not real picky. I didn’t even know I had so many options with my first baby. I was so young and that was in 2009x Plan this time is to get my baby out and to keep us safe and healthy while doing it. Trying to go natural but if pain gets too bad I won’t wait too long to ask for epidural because sometimes it takes anesthesiologists a while to make it to you. Also my husband taking pictures and us doing skin to skin is the biggest deal for me.

Here’s our birth plan. I used this outline last time as well. Our hospital is awesome at following birth plans. ❤️ I’m realistic and also mentally prepared that shit may go sideways and we end up in a cesarean as well. All we can do is plan and hope for the best! :)

My advice: don’t invest too much in a birth plan. They usually go out the window when labor starts and you have to be flexible and go with it. Can’t anticipate what will happen. I ended up with an emergency c section after several hours of labor. Not in the plan.

Mine is simple:
Get the epidural.  
No pitocin.  
No episiotomy.  
Obviously labor doesn’t always go to plan. Things can change and if I get to the hospital too late I can’t get the epidural. If labor refuses to progress, I’ll need pitocin.  If I’m tearing like crazy the doctor may want to do an episiotomy to help.  Gotta be able to go with the flow.

I copied icons online and put them in an A4 piece of paper. Printed and because I’m a teacher had it laminated. Will use the same birth plan for my second. 
Though I will tell you that my first birth went waaaay off my birth plan. But I went in to the hospital with the mindset that I was willing to make changes for baby’s health. 
I felt great having my birth plan, knowing what I wanted and being able to discuss those choices before making changes. I live in Australia and most of the things I put in my birth plan are actually standard here, so it was easy. 
Things I had to change in the end were: I was induced after waters broke and I was strep b positive, didn’t get to have delayed cord clamping because baby needed oxygen. Oh and because of induction had to be constantly monitored so not left alone to labor. The rest I would say stayed the same. I did hypnobirthing and had pretty specific requests. I think it’s great to go in confidently with an idea of how you want it to be as long as you are flexible. Good luck.
