Crib sleeping?!

My son is 6 months and he’s never liked the crib! Today is his first time falling asleep in it!!!!!! It only lasted 20 minutes tho. How did you mamas get your lil one to sleep in the crib if they didn’t like it?! I can’t have him sleep in his rock n play anymore because he climbs out of it! Even tho there’s a seatbelt he some how manages to get it off and in the middle of the night I won’t know if he falls out. Scaring me😭

I trained my daughter to sleep in her crib by consistently putting her in it from birth. She's never once slept in our bed and I refused to buy swings, rock n plays, bouncers, etc. A rock n play isn't safe for sleep in any way and it's nuts to me that you're allowing him to sleep in it at 6 months old. That's exactly why he won't sleep in a crib. You're now trying to break a habit he's had for his entire life. I'd toss the rock n play in the trash and move on from it. He needs to consistently be put in his crib. Otherwise, he'll never get used to it. And I'd look into some sleep training as well.

I was just consistent with my son. He didn’t sleep in his crib long in the beginning but once I kept putting him in it, he would fall asleep and sleep all night in his crib.

How big is it? Some are pretty big and maybe it's uncomfortable and feels unsafe if he's used to less space.

Try warming the crib before you lay him down with a heating pad. It may be too cold? Just make sure you test the area before you lay him down and remember to remove the pad completely from the crib. It worked for my friends little one but I done remember how old she was.

My 3 month old will only sleep in his crib with a sleep sack.

It's a hand me down from his cousin, so I have no idea where it actually come from originally.
