Dental appointments?

My dentist told me he doesn’t recommend taking my baby to the dentist until he’s 2 
Anyone else waiting till their 2? Or why are you taking them right now ?

I did when he turned one. I work in a dental office. We recommended it when they turn one just so they can get used to the dentist. We just brush and count their teeth.

You should see a pediatric dentist, baby’s should start getting regular cleaning when their first tooth pops through.

Just took him last week because he already has 14 teeth. Took him to a pediatric dentist. He did so well! He just glanced at his teeth and brushed them. Quick and painless!

I took my two year old (almost a year ago) he wouldn’t open his mouth, he threw a kicking screaming tantrum because he didn’t want to be there, so the dentist said “see you next year!” I’m planning on waiting until my 1 year old turns 3 to take her.

I asked my dentist and they said around 3. My pediatrician said the same thing. I remember my friend having to take her daughter two hours away because no dentists in our area would treat her as a two year old. We just make sure they are brushed daily and the doctor checks them at his appts.

Starting early can help them learn and not be scared. You only get 2 sets! Might as well use the 1 set as a laerning tool. Because after that, if you dont take care of them you loose them!
