How did you all deal with going home? I’m having major germ anxiety. We were discharged last night and my oldest daughter went to school this morning. (Kindergarten) when she came home she said her tummy felt funny I felt my heart start beating faster and have been obsessing over whether she’s sick or not. The NICU pounded into us that if the babies get sick it could be very very bad. Our girls are so tiny still too so they seem so fragile. They are both only 4lbs 1oz. My oldest daughter has one more week left before Christmas vacation. Any advice? We are washing hands like crazy but I’m still nervous. Experienced post nicu moms does the germ fear ever go away? It probably didn’t help that before we were discharged they made us watch this horrific cpr video. Thanks ladies!
