I'm a nurse at the hospital I'm giving birth at, I work in a different department. Anyways, our nursing union is in the middle of contract negotiations and it's getting ugly. The union rep on my floor told us to prepare for a strike because neither side is backing down. Turns out if we strike it'll be around the time but c section is scheduled!! I'm freaking out for two reasons

1-i don't want agency nurses not familiar with my hospital/OR treating me and my baby. The majority of them are new grads with not a lot of experience.

2- I don't want to cross the picket line!!!!

I have an appointment Tuesday and I'm hoping my doctor will agree to do the c section a week earlier if this happens. The only thing is that'll bring me to having him at 38 weeks. Im not sure how he'll feel about this.

Sorry, I needed to vent. I'm so stressed out!
