4w 3d pregnant: What I feel worked for me

Christina

My husband and I are both in our 30's. We have been trying for 14 months and finally got a BFP last week. I want to share what possibly may have helped in the hope it could help others.

-I was told by my gyno I have a retroverted uterus (meaning it tilts back). Apparently 20-25% of women have this. During O week, we BD'd in missionary style, as I read online that this is the best position for conception w a retroverted uterus

-My husband got a sperm test and was told his semen was too thick/"viscous" (ick, I know). He was told to drink a LOT more water to thin it out, and he did

-I drink diet pepsi like a fiend (like 4-5 cans a day). I reduced this to no more than 2 per day, as I'd read online that too much pop can reduce chances of conception. I drank water instead of the extra pop

-We BD'd the night before peak ovulation day

I'm really, really, really hoping this maybe-baby sticks. We had a "chemical pregnancy" 1 year ago in which there was a faint positive line (and I got excited and told ppl), but I got a heavy period a few days later (and had to update whoever I'd told the shitty outcome).

The above is what I feel worked for me, and I hope it helps another. Best of luck to all of us 💙
