How many ounces in bottle for breastfed baby?

I’m trying to figure out how many ounces to feed my 6 week old. I’ve been doing 2.5 oz. in an emergency bottle or if we’re headed somewhere with a backup on the side so I don’t contaminate it all. But I can never tell if 2.5oz. is enough. I also don’t want to overfeed as I know that’s easy to know while bottle feeding. Any mommas willing to let me know how much their kitties typically eat when bottle fed?

The general rule for breastmilk is 1-1.5oz per hour no matter what age. At that age my daughter was taking 2-3oz and now at 7 1/2 months, she has never taken more than 4oz in a bottle. 
Make sure you’re pace feeding with the slowest flow nipple possible to make the bottle as similar to breastfeeding as possible to help avoid nipple confusion and preference.

Never give more than 4oz at 1 time it causes their stomachs to stretch. Breast milk changes to fit baby’s needs where formula doesn’t therefor formula babies increase the amount whereas breastfed babies don’t need to. My son takes 4 at one time

If and when we give a breastmilk bottle she eats anywhere from 2.5-3.5oz, my LO is 8 weeks

My son has been taking 4 oz since like 3 weeks old 😂 he likes to eat lol. Every baby is different. The best way to tell is to feed the baby a bottle for a feed. Look for cues that the baby is still hungry after the bottle such as sucking on hands or rooting. While you are feeding look for cues that they are full like playing with the bottle In their mouth, stopping sucking or pushing the bottle out. If you're still unsure if they were overfed, babies tend to spit up more frequently if they overeat (that's what my pediatrician said bc I was concerned by how much he was eating.) Looking for these different cues will help you determine if baby is satisfied

My 3 month old takes 2.5-3 but most of the time he will only take 2.5

It all depends on the baby. The best way is to weight baby before and after a nursing session. Otherwise pump instead of feeding baby and that'll be kind of close to what they need. Also look up pace feeding. It's a great way to prevent over feeding.
