Switching from pill to IUD?

I’ve been on the pill for 2 years. I had several side effects and had to switch 4 kinds of different pills. They all gave me side effects, mood swings, depression and have hard times getting wet (throughout the day as well). With this last pill the headaches are finally gone but being dry is getting worse and worse. Pros and cons on getting an IUD instead? Something with no hormones though

I've had mirena for 6 months. I love it. I have very heavy periods without birth control and mirena stopped my periods which I love. No daily pill, no pharmacy, no meds that interact with it. I had 2 weeks of bad cramps but then they went away. Insertion was intense cramps but only for a few minutes. I went to work the same day.

IUD are the worst I wont recommend to anyone the side effects are very painful and can let to PID ...if I would of known I would of stayed on the pill

I had the same problem on the pill as far as things not being right. I had depression and severe anxiety. Acne. Pain. Headaches. I just switched to an IUD and I feel much better. It’s only been a month though. I had to get the one with the hormones. My doctor highly recommended not going with the non hormonal. He said he hates those. Talk with your doctor about the best choice for you, but I recommend the hormonal IUD so far.
