I don't know if im abke to get pregnant

I've been getting really upset. My husband and have been trying to get pregnant and we've been really successful with getting a decent amount of times together during my ovulation and my high chance days, but i took 3 tests and they were all negative. I have 3 children from my previous marriage. I do understand that I'm older now. I'm 42. I also had extremely heavy bleeding every month since my 3rd son was born, so I had a laporoscopy almost 5 years ago amd the doctor said I had scar tissue damage on my uterus and it could possibly be endometriosis. Does this mean I can't get pregnant now? Does anyone in the community have something similar that happened to them or know someone who has? I just want to know if it's a lost cause and we should stop trying, so we're not getting our hopes up and just constantly breaking our hearts? Please anyone who can help with any advise or anything at all, so I Know whether we should start exploring other options
