I need your opinions please.

I’ll be 36 in two months and we decided to try for our second. Im a school teacher and having a baby toward the end of the school year would be ideal, for financial reasons as well as the time spent with newborn. For example, a baby conceived in June would be born around March and I could take three months paid leave and the the entire summer with the new baby.

However, since I’m getting older, I’m not sure if it makes sense to wait for this “perfect” time. So, what would you do? Start trying now and make it work regardless of your due date? Wait a few cycles and track your cycle and ovulation (I’m just coming off BC)? Not use protection but wait to seriously start trying until the ideal conceive dates range? Use protection and wait for trying to seriously conceive??

It took us about four cycles with our first with careful planning and tracking. That was four years ago.
