So me & my fiancé set a date for a small wedding. I wanted a court house wedding but I saw this one place that was beautiful. It’s a package that comes with 150 photos & all of the paperwork is done there & we can rent it for 90 minutes in a beautifully decorated room. It’s just gorgeous. Thing is, it’s $1200. My fiancé told me he wanted a court house wedding but when he talked to his mother (she’s controlling & too over bearing for my taste) she said that why dont we have a big wedding because his family from all over the world is going to want to go see him get married. I told him “ DOES SHE HAVE THE MONEY??” I’m not getting married for them, I’m doing it for us & since I make more.. more of the money will be out of my pocket. Anywho. Now all of a sudden he’s more interested in the $1200 room instead of the court house room. He says that he wants the room to be gorgeous so our kids can look back on it... now I’m wondering if he’s only saying that because he talked to his mother about it & he doesn’t want her to think the wedding would be “nice” enough if it was at a court house. He says no & he just thinks it’s nicer.. idk what to believe. I’m not sure what to do now? I wanted a wedding there for 90 mins then I wanted us to go to a nice steak house with our family members and pay for everybody to eat there to celebrate after the wedding in a limo.. now I don’t know what I want... what should I do...
