In my late teens, I had a boyfriend that coerced me into giving him blow jobs. As a result, for a long time (I’m now 31), I did not like giving them because they never felt entirely consensual to me. With one of them who is now my current partner, our sexual relationship progressed, and one day, I found myself wanting to give him a blow job. I suggested it; he agreed. And it was great. After we talked about why it worked for me. 
For one, it was my idea. I wanted to. Two, he didn’t do anything that would replicate my past experience (ex. putting his hands on my head and holding it or forcing my movements). Three, I made the decisions re: position, movement, length of time, etc. I was on control. All of those things meant that I got to reclaim a sexual act as enjoyable instead of awful like my first experiences with it.
