The Bumbo Seat?

Question

Okay mommies! How helpful is the Bumbo seat? I’ve wanted to get one but I would like some feedback first. My daughter is almost three months old. Is this product as great as everyone says it is or is it not all it’s cracked up to be? If you would please vote and tell me how it wasn’t or wasn’t useful.

It’s absolutely no good for babies back, hips, spine. And if anything hinders development as it props baby in an unnatural sitting position. Kids sits way to much already no need to start even earlier.

You're going to have (and I see already have some) people say it's horrible for their development and cry doomsday over them. If you're leaving your kid in it for long periods of time (like over 15 min stretches multiple times a day) yeah it's not great for them. But our baby was always very active and ahead of the curve on physical development. She wA also super clingy and didnt like to not be held. The Bumbo was a lifesaver for that short period of time where she couldn't quite sit without support but was happy/occupied enough to sit in it without being upset about not being held. Sometimes you just need to do a chore or take a shower or go to the bathroom and the Bumbo was the only way that was going to happen for a little while for us. So...use it sparingly...but its not going to harm your kid if you use it every now and then. Yes they grow out of them quickly but our baby loved hers and we bought it used so it was totally worth it!

Didn’t work well with our babies. They had chunky thighs and didn’t fit well. I preferred a high chair. Had no idea it was bad for their development. That’s news to me.

Omg I loved our bumbo! I used it so much! I also got the version that has the tray that comes with it. It was amazing for feeding and it even attaches to chairs for convince of eating out at relatives houses. I actually got one for my moms house since we were there so often.

My sister was given one when she had her son and he absolutely hated it. Like he would scream bloody murder the moment someone would try to put him in it. She never used it at all. I feel like they are very expensive for what they are, they grow out of them quickly and there’s no guarantee that your baby will like it. 🤷‍♀️ 
Now that I’m due with my first my sister has given me hers to use but if she hadn’t I would not have sought one out. It’s not worth it to me personally (especially seeing how my nephew reacted) we will try it out but if my son doesn’t like it we will just sell or donate it. I feel like there are enough other options out there that seem more useful to me

I liked mine with my first baby. I used it for bath time after he was able to sit up. I also used it for meal times (we were poor okay? Couldn’t afford a high chair and made do with what I was given). 
With this one, I’d use it if we were given one. It’s been so long that I don’t have any of my first one’s baby things. I would just avoid leaving baby in there for long periods of time.

I bought one, used it about twice. My baby’s  leg barley fit in the holes. I prefer products that grow with the baby, as supposed only using it for a few months at best.

My son was too big for one when we tried at like 3 months 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ his legs were far to fat to fit in it
