If you ovulated nine days ago your period wouldn't be due yet unless you have an abnormally short luteal phase. and nine days isn't typically enough time for implantation to occur. Id wait until you're 12dpo to test. ..only reason I say this is because ovulation dictates when your period comes. Ovulation occurs then 13-15 days after comes your period or a positive test. Most women implant at 8-12dpo. Hope this is helpful.
