Sudden drop

Amber

Hello ladies! I’m here for support and advice. I started back to work in October. When I started I was pumping more than enough (upto 7oz per breast) but I admittedly have been having a hard time with consistency in pumping in the afternoon and even and I only produce one good pump a day. I’ve been working to increase my milk supply. Today I have pumped so much between feedings the my nips are soooo sore but I’m still only getting an ounce or less. I’m sure it has to do with skipped pumps ( my boobs even feel smaller and never feel full). Also since my boobs are smaller and softer I think I’m not getting as good of a suction.

I’m not ready at almost 5 months to supplement or give up -hence the painful process of trying to get my supply back up. But recently my son has started to need more feedings over night. I’m just nervous that he’s not getting enough. I’m really wondering if it’s just time to supplement-has anyone made the switch and regretted it? Or vice versa?

I’d love opinions and advice if anyone has any! First time mom just trying to make it through this drop.
