When to have another IVF baby?

Hi! After a couple round of IVF with ICSI, we got pregnant and stayed pregnant and had our wonderful baby boy in October 2018. I know there’s a lot to consider with whatever we decide, but for those who have done IVF (and age wasn’t a factor), when did you go back again for your next IVF cycle? I’ve read that IVF patients are more fertile within a year of giving birth. But common practice suggests that you should wait at least a year before getting pregnant again to let your body heal (especially when I had an emergency c section). When did you do your subsequent IVF cycle?

I had my first IVF baby June of 2017 and I waited about a year and 3 months to do another transfer and it worked again so I am due in June so my first baby will be exactly 2 years when I have this baby. :)

My clinic would start the next process when the baby is 9 months. We waited until he was a year and a half and I'm so glad. We ended up with a really hard toddler.

We have a 17 month old through IVF with ICSI. We went back at 15 months and are now pregnant with twins. Its gonna be a crazy few years, but itll be worth it. I had amenorrhea (no periods) due to PCOS both before and after the first round. So, we really already knew it wasn't going to work on it's own. Wish you the best whatever you decide!

Your actual clinic or doctor may have their own rules on that.  My clinic won't do another transfer til 1 yr after birth

I had my fresh transfer baby in Nov 2015, and did my FET Sept 2018.

I am currently pregnant nd  got result with Ivf . I am plnning to go for next ivf in 3 yers time because i think i need to recover from c section .

I had my first Ivf June 2016 and my little boy October 2018. We started trying again March 2017, with 2 failed attempts and also a double ectopic pregnancy. We waited until I recovered (double tubal and one ovary had to be removed), until the beginning of March 2018 to try another transfer and it worked! All depends when you want to have another. I thought it would have been easy since we got pregnant the very first round with our toddler..

I followed ACOG recommendations to space deliveries by 2 years. I also wanted to breastfeed as long as possible and my clinic said I would have to wean. So I was in no hurry. I really do feel my body was in a much better place at 18 months than it would have been at 6 or 12 months, even though things felt somewhat "normal" before then.

I waited 1.5 years to do ivf #2 and got preggers.

Pregnant now, and am going to wait for about a year and then go to the clinic and see. I am also 35 so time isnt on.my side
