I’m about five weeks along now and my RE wants me to come in for an early OB ultrasound. For those who have been through this, what should I expect? Will there be much to see?

I’ve read that it is probably too early to detect a heartbeat. Does the doctor look at anything else to confirm the pregnancy is progressing normally? Should I expect another beta to confirm my levels are increasing?

I’m really anxious and excited for this appointment. It’s only a few days before Christmas and we’re hoping to tell our parents on Christmas Day if all goes smoothly. 🤞
