Gender reveal or no ? input please

my husband and i go to find out the gender on January 9th. we both like the idea of a gender reveal party but he is really wanting to find out straight away and i feel like there’s no point to a party if it’s only surprising me ?
i’d prefer to focus on the baby shower anyway but i thought a reveal would be cute.
Is it worth it ?
or should something small to post ?

I thought I wanted a gender reveal party but when we went to our private scan and the tech asked if we wanted to know the sex I blurted out "YES". 🤦‍♀️ I suck with waiting and surprises. Oh well, maybe for our 2nd baby! Theres something super intimate about finding out with just the two of you in the room. We both cried happy tears. I feel like my husband wouldnt have done that in front of a bunch of people.

I always take a cute picture. But gender reveals are lame in my opinion. I think it’s super special to just find out with your partner. My first son I announced on social media for family with a blue snow cone. And my second son A blue ice cream cone!

We just found out what we are having. 1st plan, gender reveal where no one knows but the cake lady. Then 3 days before ultrasound apt, my husband said he wanted to know at the apt, this was after we set a party date, the bakery has the cake info on how I want it to look, and family is ready for this Saturday to reveal. Final plan, we found out just us 2, it was our special moment with no one else around so we could focus on us and the baby and our excitement. And we're having the cake delivered for the party so we can surprise family (they think we don't know as of now) Some got mad when we told others first we were expecting, so they are all finding out together the gender. I love it that we did it that way. Maybe 2nd baby we will do a full surprise but first time parents I'm glad we found out first.

We found out Saturday ,just hubby and I 
We left our LO with my in laws didn’t tell anyone we went to a private scan place ,it was such and intimate moment for us❤️ he got so emotional ,which I think only happened because it was just us. Planning on revealing to family in a special way ,but finding out first was OUR moment together !

We aren’t gonna have a party, cause we are overseas and away from our family. But we are just gonna have 2 balloons and pop them while one of my friends videos it. I wanted to do something, since we’ve tried for so long. And plus so our families can see from the states
