Can babies sleep in this?

Can a new born sleep in a rock and play or swing at night? I have a bassinet, but so scared to use it.. I’m also scared after feedings baby will choke on spit up! Any tips??

Babies should only sleep flat on their back, for risk of suffocation. Rock and plays are not safe for sleeping, only supervised napping. They also can cause babies to have a flat head if they are in it too long. I would talk to your doctor and see what they have to say :)

NO. Every year so many babies die from being put in a car seat or anything in that same position. It’s not safe ro be sat in them for hours at a time. Even when on a road trip you should stop about every hour to take the baby out and let them get better air flow. I wouldn’t risk it

My daughter did have a habit of spitting up at night and the pediatrician recommended a crib wedge to put under her mattress to keep her slightly elevated. She did spit up in her bassinet but ALWAYS turned her head. Her pediatrician said it’s a natural reflex they have. Ive heard of pediatricians recommending the rock and play for sleep temporarily for baby’s with reflux issues but to use it long term I think you’d have trouble later on transitioning to her crib.

Idk if it’s recommended not too or not but we did wat he had to do to get the little hrs of sleep that we did for all of us. Once my daughter would start to fall asleep I would turn down the volume to like one on either thing until she fell asleep completely n turned them off. She was always arms reach away. It would give us at max two hrs of straight sleep at night until the next feeding or she realized she fell asleep.
