Please help me out here. I have the most amazing fiancé, that I love more than anything, but his mother is killing me. My parents have been nothing but wonderful to be and I, paying for every thing so far, asking no questions. Well her input crossed a line when SHE decided she was going to go venue shopping with us, I found the place I wanted and was just going to rent it for 6 hours because it would be cheaper on my father and I didn't think I would need anymore time than that. SHE buts in and says that we need the whole day rented because SHE was decorating and didn't want to be rushed to do that and get ready (I never asked her to decorate.) and so then without even realizing it i get roped into a contract for an all day rental. Then, my dad buys me 100 save the dates, (we're shooting for an attendance around 150, but I didn't feel like EVERYONE needed a save the date and an invitation). She then proceeds to use every single one of my save the dates to send to people on her side of the family, some she hasn't spoken to in years, and some my fiancé has never even met! She hasn't offered to help with anything, and anytime she has an idea about something for OUR wedding she always adds in "your dad will pay for that too, right?" I understand the whole "bride's side pays for the wedding" but my father isn't just a limit less out of money, and this isn't even her day. How do I get her to butt out of it without being rude ?
