Pain with using condom?

I’ve always used spermicides and BC never condoms. I’m having some issues with my BC so we have to use condoms. So I’ve not used one before. I’ve never had pain with sex, minus my first time. We used a condom last night and it hurt! I couldn’t enjoy the sex. There was such a difference. And being safe so that’s fine. But what’s with the pain? I can’t do that. I mean it hurt. Like was so irritating and painful. I’m a lab tech so I use latex gloves all the time so I know I’m not allergic. Maybe it’s sensitive down there though? I don’t know. What I do know is it hurt! Afterwards I had pink spotting too, which I’ve never had. Like from irritation or something? What causes that? Could this be from condoms? I know they decrease the pleasure people say but this was not that. This was pain. So I couldn’t enjoy it or finish. Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced this or just me?
