What is bloody show

Question

At 40+1 .. been losing mucus plug from 4 days .. but it was blood tinged today (brownish)... is it called show? Or it has to be fresh blood ?

Mine started off as cramping (which turned out to be contractions) and light brown discharge. As my contractions got worse (a few hours later) it turned into bright red mucus looking and when I went into hospital 6 hours later I was 4 cm dilated!

Haha wow I just posted this too! Following! I just had clear watery discharge that was distinctly pink when I wiped. Different from spotting after cervix checks. Maybe that's it? No clue, ftm here.
