Cervix check, bloody show?

I know that bleeding after a cervix check is normal. I’m 37 weeks 4 days. My ob checked my cervix today, said it was soft, dilated 1 cm and could feel baby’s head. I had some faint red when I wiped which I know is likely from the check but had this hours afterwards, I’m not cramping or anything but just curious if it’s my bloody show

I’m a first time mom here so no experience. But I would expect a bloody show to be more bright red and filling up your pads or soaking through your pants. It looks like normal mucus plug to me tho.

Bloody show is a good amount of bright fresh blood.
This could be a piece of mucus plug dislodged from the cervical check, but nothing to worry about as it can grow back

Your “bloody show” is very bloody so definitely not that! Could be part of your mucous plug.

Just like when we have a pap, it is invasive. It is probably just release from the irritation of the check. 
A small percentage of women actually lose the plug and have bloody show before active labor starts. It is just a symptom of your cervix dialating
