Baby measuring too big?

Hey ladies I have an appointment on Thursday for an ultrasound and if my baby’s measuring big doctor said they will induce me. My question is how big does the baby have to be? Has anyone gotten induced on the count of their baby being too big?

That’s why they induced me with my first. Because of my GD they said my son would be over 10lbs but he was only 8.1oz

I was induced with my first at 39 weeks because of an umbilical cord issue. He ended up at 9lb7oz so this time when I found out we were measuring on the bigger side i didn’t want to risk the baby being over 10lbs at 40 weeks so I opted for an elective induction at 39 weeks.

My cousins 3 kids measured bigger. She had a 10 lbs, 9 lbs, and her last was 8. She got induced with the 1st 2 because of it. 3rd her water broke 38 weeks.

I’m going through the same thing. My sweet girl is measuring 9.5lbs at 38 weeks a few days. There are not other issues, but the doctor said I have a better chance of not having to have a c-section if I induce at 39 weeks, due to her size.
