When should you buy maternity clothes??

I feel silly asking this but when is the best time to buy maternity clothes? My pants fit slightly tighter but nothing too uncomfortable yet. Is it best to wait until 2nd trimester? Where are the best deals? What are the “basics” every mama to be should have?

I’ve been snagging holiday deals on last summer’s clearance! Since we’re due in August and I live in FL I’m going to need things for warm weather and I’ve been finding great stuff on Macy’s, H&M, and peainthepod 💛  I’ve only spent $40 and so far I’ve gotten two pairs of pants and five shirts, shipped!😱

Well right now is bloat that’ll go down eventually. I stick with leggings and long shirts first trimester. 
BUT seeing as its winter and we’ll be pregnant in the summer, nows a great time to stock up on some cute cheap summer outfits at just about anywhere. 
Maternity shorts/pants are a must.. shirts you can always get away with larger regular ones. Maternity bra (you’ll need a larger size for AFTER birth) and it’s not a must have but I highly recommend maternity underwear!!! They’re so comfy

My favorite maternity jeans are from Old Navy! They’re cute too🤗 Target is also great for maternity clothes. We’re due with baby #2 on Aug. 17th and I just know I’m going to be getting out those pants by the end of this trimester😂

I just bought leggings and shirts/blouses/cadigans that cover my behind and belly. I wear these things normally (when non pregnant) anyway, like when I go for a hike, when I hang around the house, etc. Marshalls and those types of stores have cheap ‘regular’ clothes that I can use as maternity clothes.

Well I kept mine from my last pregnancy and happy I did because no pants are comfortable because of the pregnancy bloat that usually last the whole first trimester. 
But I’m picky about how pants feel when pregnant. And so relieved when I pulled my pants outta storage because oh my are the comfiest thing to me right now

I think it just depends on your body and what’s comfortable to you. Each of my first two pregnancies were different. I wore regular stretchy jeans/pants until the buttons got uncomfortable. Then, I switched to maternity. I also didn’t get very big until 7 months with my first and around 6 months with my second (second one usually pops the belly out quicker).

I already went and got some maternity jeans. The bloat is real lol. The only things I bought for my last pregnancy were maternity jeans, shorts and a few maternity tees
