Would you consider this induction?

Your water breaks at 36w. Your cervix is not dilated at all and the baby is -3 engaged. They start pitocin- would that be considered induction since your body is still basically at the beginning?

Yes. Pitocin is a form of induction. Your body didn't naturally get the baby out on its own, and baby needs to come out, so you're needing medical intervention/medication to get the baby out, which yes is an induction. My water broke 2 of my 4 pregnancies with no contractions so I was given pitocin, they were considered inductions. Good luck!

My water broke but my body never went into labor (contractions or dilating) on its own so they had to induce me with pitocin.
