What to do!?

Just woke up out of my sleep due to lower back pain and cramping.. went to use the bathroom & when I wiped there was bright red blood on the tissue. Not really heavy, but enough to cover the tissue. I wouldn’t be worried if I noticed mucus because it could easily be my bloody show, but I didn’t have any. What should I do? Doctors appt is already scheduled 5hours from now, do I wait or go to L&D?!!!!

Update: Bleeding just seems to be from my cervix changing, been in the hospital for 4hours & progressed from 1 1/2 cm to 3cm.. today may be it.
