Terrible idea?

Ok so I'm on break right now from college and am going to get on bc so I can feel more secure in not having a baby. I told my boyfriend I was going to get it sometime over break and have been discussing it.

His birthday is January 21st, not too long from now.

What if I told him I didn't get it over break due to whatever reason but then surprise him with the truth for his birthday? I think I'd also weed out further if he only wants sex from this relationship, which I'm not comfortable with. I don't believe he is, but idk. Ya never know and we haven't been together super long.

I do recognize it might be a little mischievous, maybe even cruel, but I think he might take it in good humor.

Is this awful? Probably. Just curious your thoughts.
