My 19 month old had a, like, 12 hour stomach bug w a couple vomits and a fever. Fever broke last night.

Oddly she REFUSED to nurse after fever broke. This is very odd indeed. She loves loves nursing and it’s the only way she self soothes when mama (me) is around.

All last night she screamed and cried and wriggled and refused the boob. She’d hold a bottle of cows milk but didn’t drink.

Today she refused the boob all day. No fever, ate and drank from a bottle pretty normally.

Tonight she started screaming and crying again, but is currently calm on my lap watching baby bum 🙄.

Is it possible she’s self weaning suddenly and is really unhappy about it???

Oddly, the last time she nursed I, half jokingly told her she’d have to stop nursing soon.

I’m very worried about the whole thing. Any words of advice or sympathy very welcome.
