What do I tell my family?

I am not ready to tell my family I’m pregnant and I’m hosting Christmas Eve at my house. What are some ideas or excuses as to why I’m not having wine?

You’re sick and your on antibiotics.

- on a detox where you only drink water 
- not feeling well
- not in the mood for wine
*this is not to debate, I can post resources if you want me to* but if you’re comfortable with it, you can have a glass of wine. 
The studies stating you can’t are all outdated/unethical/inconclusive. There are newer studies showing that up to 2 glasses of wine per week is safe and does not have any risk of FAS. Of course, use your own judgement and what you think is best for you and your pregnancy.

I’m surprising my family on Christmas but they are coming on the 23rd and I’m trying to figure out a way to make myself feel normal. I have very bad morning sickness aka all the damn time sickness and I don’t think I can hide that from family before I get to surprise them. So good luck to you!!

I faked it at a Christmas party this week and it was so much easier than having to explain anything. I just had lemonade and only have one person ask. I said I was watching my calories and drinking crystal lite and vodka.

I would fake drink! Mix apple juice with water or buy non alcoholic wine? Otherwise you can use the antiobiotics excuse. I know my family would suspect with that one.

We're telling family on Christmas day because I'm too nauseous and irrational to hide it this pregnancy 😂 I've had a "I'm becoming a big sister 2019" Christmas shirt made for our daughter to wear 😍
