What to do....??

I was supposed to start my first round of clomid this month but my period decided to just spot here and there for days on end. I need to have a normal flow period and not spotting to start my clomid cycle so I can know what days to take it on. I have Provera to jumpstart my period but I don't know if I should take it since my period is actually trying but is just spotting every other day for over a week. I want to make sure I go by the calendar he gave me so I can take Clomid correctly. Any advice?
