Where do I begin.. well it was 430am Aug 18th when I was rudely interrupted by pain that I jus automatically thought were period cramps lol yupp totally forgot I was pregnant well I snap to n say to myself omg this is the baby so I tapped the SO told him it may be go time so he should get dressed ..he gets dressed he lays back down on the couch I begin my lil way of helping myself with the contractions which at this time were about 5/6mins apart.. I gather the hospital bag I grab the babies stroller i put it all by front door ready then i get into the shower for some reason I wanted to wait as long as I could cause I didn't wanna be turned back from the hospital.. so there I am in the shower on all fours swaying trying to call my mom and tell her baby is on the way n I'm sure I'll be heading to hospital soon.. before I forget I had a cervical sweep and stretch the day before all this went down.. so back to where I was ok I get to hospital right away nurse wheels me to the triage ..I get hooked up I get checked so I'm definitely staying I progressed from 2cms what the doc said at the last check up to 4cm ..I get wheeled to the delivery room I have my water broken and I get epidural shortly after ..at that moment felt amazing but what people dont tell u is the epidural can wear off I was topped up 4/5 times yesss I was hurting ..the further i got the faster the epidural wore off to me so I was jus beyond myself crying frustrated nervous scared all the emotions were doing me in.. I had tons of family by my side but I couldn't control anything ..I stayed at 5cm for awhile then 7cm then 9cm I stayed that far for a long time ..so now it's been awhile they come in cause I'm uncomfortable again they check me and I get the speech ..I'm far enough to try pushing but topping me up was on the ropes u cant be to frozen u cant feel yourself push so I had to think hmmm so ok let's get a lil top up n as soon as I feel pain I'll push ..so I start I'm pushing thank goodness I was a good pusher cause it's just weird n alot of physical work I push for almost 2 whole hours yess 2 whole hours ugh exhausting ..so ok another speech was given to me I pushed baby down great it was either use more effort or use forceps or csection but the nurse said she really thinks I can push him then yess I turned on my game face cause I wanted neither of those options ..now it's almost done I'm drinking ginger ale like it's going out of style I'm pushing ,I'm throwing up and coughing all is helping me push hahaa ..so then bam she grabs the scissors one big 'snip' my babies head popped out another soft push and he was completely out by 12:46am Aug 19th ..you would think yayy hes finally out no more pain lmao not quite I hemmraged I had a doctor's whole arm wiping out my uterus and nurses pushing on my stomach to make sure everything was good excruciating pain I tell ya ..when all was great with baby cause he needed extra stimulation n breathing checked I was finally then relieved I survived my baby boy is just my widdle blessing but wow the journey was something.. after 8 long weeks on top of the normal healing process from having a baby I could then finally say I had my body back and felt better than ever
