So I’m not trying to sound like a complete judgmental jerk but I just have to get this out: STOP GIVING YOUR CHILDREN YOUR PHONE. It’s okay if they are bored-that’s how they become creative. You can talk to your child, explain to them what you’re doing. You do not have to entertain them 24/7. My daughter does have some screen time, but its monitored and not daily. So I’m not saying no screen time at all- but there has to be common sense! We were just at Busch gardens for Christmas town- which is full of Christmas lights and I can not tell you how many kids I saw ignoring the beautiful lights because their faces were glued to a phone. As a mother and a teacher I fear for the future generations and their conversation, problem solving, and friendship making skills because they are just plopped down in front of a screen and their every need and desire is taken care of right away. So please please please talk to your child, engage them with the real world, and let them interact with other children.
