I’m a wash and go type person. Literally the only hair style I consistently wear my hair in but I really want some braids, I’m just nervous about baby being irritated by the hair. Even I get irritated by weave after like a week or two which is why I do it myself to save money but at this point idk if I have the energy to sit and braid my hair so pretty much what I’m saying is I spend a lot of time looking at braid hairstyles but I’m ultimately gonna end up wearing my headscarf for 3 months straight lmao.

I had Senegalese twists. I normally do not wear weave, however, I wanted something convenient for giving birth and weeks later. The Senegalese twists really came in handy while I was trying to figure things out lol. Between being a new mom, nursing, pumping, etc., the last thing I wanted to worry about was hair haha. By the time I took them down, I had everything figured out so I could find time to style my hair lol.

My mom braided my hair two weeks ago and I plan on keeping them in until I deliver. I’m due in 5 weeks and I’m hoping my hair will grow while they stay in. These are natural, I don’t wear weave or extensions or anything. Plus I can take them out whenever I’m ready after she’s born, if I even want to. I’m just keeping my hair oiled in the meantime.

🤰🏽Oh trust me, braids for me was the way to go. I had my hair in box braids and although I was looking cute going into the hospital for delivery, by the time I gave birth and was in the recovery room, I couldn’t care less how my head looked as long as I saw my beautiful child: healthy and strong with all her organs & limbs in their rightful places. 
Those few weeks after giving birth, your hair is the last thing on your mind while trying to master your child’s sleeping/eating habits, taking care of the house including cooking and just remembering to do basic stuff like pee for goodness sake. 🤣🤣🤣
