My oldest (10yo DD) was in the bathroom with me when I took my first test. We waited to tell the younger ones until after our NIPT results came back.

We told our 10 year old daughter at around 11 weeks, when we got the genetic test results which included the gender. So we tokd her everything at once. We had a MC this past March so we wanted to be cautious and makes sure everything was okay before letting her know. She's been asking for a sibling for many years.

We wanted to be able to tell my two children (4 and 2) they were getting a little sister or brother. We wanted to avoid the possibility my 4 year old would “wish” for one gender and then be “dissatisfied” with the results. She was THRILLED to find out she is getting a little sister. My 2 year old boy is still confused. He thinks I ate the baby and that’s why it is in my tummy. 😂
