Is drinking alcohol okay?

Question

Do you believe that drinking alcohol is sinful? If not, why... and if so, why? 
I've mostly always been taught that it's sinful to drink alcohol. And I personally wouldn't do it (I don't mind if its cooked into food or if I'm taking medicine which has a little in it etc). I definitely agree that getting drunk is a sin but drinking a few sips...🤔🤔🤔🤔??¿

I think its bad to get drunk but not to drink socially.i mean Jesus turned water into wine. If drinking alcohol was bad why would he do that? Just for fun? ... the only other way i think it can be sinful is if those around you believe its a sin then you should hold back from doing it for their sake. This because of the apostles teachings on food and drink saying that everything is clean to eat but if it will hurt your brothers weak conscience then you shouldnt do it for his sake. Not because its bad tho

I personally believe that enjoying a a few sips or even a drink or 2 socially is fine. I think that it does become a sin if you drink enough to alter yourself and your actions into someone you usually aren’t/drunkenness

The Bible only speaks to not getting drunk. Besides that it is conviction based. I personally do not because I feel it will cause our children to stumble as they get older. I also don’t feel it’s necessary to try something that is potentially addictive. I don’t see what the point is in it.

Getting drunk is the issue.
The fact that alcohol is socially acceptable creates alcoholics for those who have no self control.
I don’t see anything wrong with a glass of wine here & there. I don’t see anything wrong with a drink on vacation. But once you start “liking” it too much & it becoming an ongoing thing, it’s no good for you.
Aside from the spiritual aspect of it. It’s not healthy for your body (when in access), it’s not good for your judgement (people making terrible decisions after drinking), could be a slippery slope for some, not all.

There's a scripture that says to have a little for the sake of thy stomach or words to that effect... 1 Timothy 5 I think. 
I think it's when drunkenness happens is normally when God's standard is ignored...

Drinking is not a sin or Jesus would have sinned by drinking it at the last supper. Since Jesus was sinless, drinking alcohol isn’t a sin. Getting drunk is specifically called out as sinful by Paul, but a glass of something with dinner is fine

Putting stumbling blocks up for other people is a sin.
If I am around my alcoholic family members, I don't drink. If it's me and my husband having a beer every now and then, who cares? We buy the kind that tastes like kool aid and we don't get drunk.
There are parts of the Bible that say drink and be merry, part that says Jesus turned water into wine. I do not believe our savior would give people wine if it were a sin to drink it.
